Sauvignon Blanc

This white grape variety originated in the southwest of France, where it was first mentioned in 1710.

It has triumphed around the world in the past few decades and 1,500 hectares are now growing in Germany (2019), mainly distributed across the regions of the Pfalz, Rheinhessen and Baden. German Sauvignon Blanc wines have surprised in recent years with very good ratings at international tastings.

The unmistakable characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc is the strong aroma of grass, herbs, gooseberries and green fruits. It goes well with fish dishes and seafood or pasta with cream sauces.
